Hot Water Update

A faulty switch spur caused the hot water system to shut down. The spur has now been replaced and the hot water temperatures are slowly returning to meet the demand.

No hot water again

After the repair works last night the situation did not improve. The water is not even lukewarm but icing cold. GEM engineers are onsite and we are hoping for a permanent fix soon.

Hot Water Reinstated

Today at 18:52 we have been informed by Mr Doug Daldry, Director of GEM Environmental Building Services Ltd, that:

“The essential modifications and repairs have been completed and the hot water services have been reinstated our operatives are on site monitoring temperatures please be aware it will take approximately 3-5 hours for the water to reach optimum working temperatures.”

Public Sector Stock Condition Survey

The Council has commissioned the consultancy Savills to carry out a stock condition survey. They will be carrying out a 100% external survey and 10% internal survey of the Council’s housing stock. Hostels and commercial properties are also being covered.
