8) GDPR Compliance
8.1 What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When you register for an account, the website will keep a record of your Full Name, email address, telephone number, address, tenancy and tracking. This is necessary in order to verify who you are and subsequently allow access to the restricted content such as meeting notes that are relevant only to people who live on the estate. The tenancy information will be used in order to make sure that all residents are equally represented on the site as well as make the news and information more relevant.
When you interact with the website by completing forms, petitions, comments then we will keep a record of your details that you have provided (normally your name, address, etc).
8.1.1 Petitions
In the specific case of the petitions we will keep a record of your Full Name, email address, telephone number, address, IP Address and newsletter preferences. We will display your first name and first letter of your surname on our website alongside the name of the building that you are living. We will only process the information provided to us for the purpose for which you have provided it. The full details of name, address, telephone number and preferences for our newsletter will be kept as long as the reasons for the petition are still valid.
Your name and address may appear in the papers of the council, committee or sub-committee meeting that is considering the petition. These papers are freely available on the Council’s website and in hard copy from the Council’s offices. We will not transfer your personal data outside of the EU/EEA
If you would like to receive our newsletter you will have to Opt In by completing the necessary form.
Your data is only visible to Curnock Street TRA committee members and they will not shared with any other third party.
8.2 How long we retain your data
We will keep your data as long as you need to have access to the website. If you would like us to remove your details please login and delete your account or let us know by email. By deleting your account you will also loose access to the restricted content of this website.
8.3 Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
8.4 Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
