Dimitris, Chair of the Curnock Street TRA, met Cllr Georgia Gould, Leader of Camden Council, last Saturday 2nd September 2017 in order to raise the issues that our estate is facing.

Dimitris mentioned the issue with security on the estate which is now considered to be a top priority in order to minimise ASB. He mentions that perimeter fencing and CCTV around the estate are two important steps for making the residents feel safer. The option of some quick solutions was discussed in order to minimise ASB incidents on the estate.

Dimitris also raised the issue with some communal repairs such as broken metallic vents and rails around the estate. He mentioned that some repairs cannot be considered a Day to Day repairs and that they have to be included under the Better Homes project. Cllr Gould said that she understood why that is the case.

Curnock Street TRA officers will also meet Cllr Gould and Cllr Robinson next week on the 12th September 2017 for a brief tour around the estate. We are hoping to be able to show Cllr Gould the challenges of the estate so the council can take the necessary steps to improve the situation.
